ABOUT NATE
Nate Jasensky is a guitarist, composer, producer, arranger, and music educator born and raised in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Nate first started his music education at the age of three, when he was enrolled in regular music classes with musicians in the local symphony orchestra. Learning how to read music before written english, Nate quickly became proficient in the guitar and the saxophone. By the age of twelve, he was fronting his own band in middle school, recording tapes of his music on an old tape deck with a Radio Shack mixer, and has been barreling breakneck towards a career in music ever since.
While performing and teaching in Tucson, Nate earned a double Bachelor's of Music in Music Composition and Classical Guitar Performance from the prestigious Bolton Guitar Studies program at the University of Arizona, performing in lessons and masterclasses with the likes of Sergio Assad, David Russell, Roland Dyens.
Since graduating, Nate has toured the United States as a lead guitarist on the Van's Warped Tour, played festivals in Europe to crowds of over 300,000 fans, and recorded music to award winning feature films.
Nate currently makes his home in the historic Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, where he is active in the musical community. He teaches a full studio of guitar students, both in his home, on Skype, and at the New York Guitar Academy.
Additionally, Nate co-runs Plunk Productions, a production company that scores films, commercials, and other media, with some fellow Tucson-to-Brooklyn transplants.
