FROM THE DESERT

TO THE CITY

Nate Jasensky is a guitarist, composer, producer, arranger, and music educator born and raised in sunny Tucson, Arizona, and currently living in Brooklyn, New York. Nathan first started his music education at the age of three, when he was enrolled in regular music classes with musicians in the local symphony orchestra. Learning how to read music before written english, Nate quickly became proficient in the guitar and the saxophone. By the age of twelve, he was fronting his own band in middle school, recording tapes of his music on an old tape deck with a radioshack branded mixer, and has been a full time musician ever since.

While performing and teaching in Tucson, Nate earned a double Bachelor's of Music in Music Composition and Classical Guitar Performance from the prestigious Bolton Guitar Studies program at the University of Arizona, performing in lessons and masterclasses for top guitarists like Sergio & Odair Assad, David Russell, Roland Dyens.

Since graduating, Nate has toured the world as a lead guitarist on the Van's Warped Tour, played festivals in Europe to crowds of over 300,000 fans, and recorded music for award winning films.

Nate currently makes his home in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, where he is active in the musical community. Teaching lessons in student’s homes and out of his own studio on Franklin Street, Nate works students from all over Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and worldwide through Zoom and Skype.

Additionally, Nate co-runs the Greenpoint Recording Collective, a collective based music recording studio right down the street in the historic Pencil Factory building.
